This disclosure explains how Amigurumi Magic handles affiliate links, sponsored content, complimentary products, and display advertising.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a specially coded link that may allow a retailer or network to recognize a referral. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase or complete another stated action, Amigurumi Magic may receive a commission. Unless the retailer states otherwise, using an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay.
How affiliate links will be identified
Pages containing affiliate links will include a clear, easy-to-notice disclosure near the recommendation and before or close to the first affiliate link. Short labels such as “affiliate link” may also appear beside individual links. A disclosure will not be hidden only in this policy, a footer, or an About page.
Editorial independence
Compensation will not guarantee positive coverage, a particular rating, or inclusion in a recommendation. Crochet tools, yarn, books, and supplies will be discussed based on their relevance to the article and the information reasonably available at the time. Readers should independently confirm fiber content, safety information, price, stock, shipping, return terms, and suitability for a project.
Sponsored and complimentary products
If money, products, travel, services, or another material benefit is provided in exchange for coverage, the relationship will be disclosed clearly on that content. Receiving a complimentary item does not guarantee publication or a favorable opinion. Sponsored content will be labeled so it can be distinguished from independent editorial content.
Display advertising
Display advertisements, including possible future Google AdSense ads, are not affiliate links and are generally selected or delivered by an advertising provider. The appearance of an advertisement does not constitute a personal recommendation or endorsement by Amigurumi Magic. Data and cookie practices for advertising are described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Retailers and external claims
External stores control their own products, prices, claims, warranties, availability, checkout, and customer service. Amigurumi Magic is not the seller merely because a page links to a retailer. Any purchase or dispute is governed by the retailer’s terms unless a page expressly states otherwise.
